Maribeth started Maribeth Smith & Associates, Inc. in 1991. Maribeth’s strengths include her ability to think globally and strategically, develop and communicate a vision, and leverage partnership avenues to maximize opportunities. She previously served as Special Events Coordinator for the City of Indianapolis during Mayor William Hudnut's administration (1983-1989). During that time the concept of developing a Local Organized Committee (LOC) was conceived and implemented to plan numerous successful city-wide events.

Ellen Saul
President

Ellen Saul has been with Maribeth Smith & Associates, Inc. since 1994. As president, she organizes and oversees every aspect of planning large scale events. Ellen is an effective team builder and has the ability to see the big picture. She has extensive experience organizing committee efforts, developing volunteer programs, and implementing logistically challenging projects.

Laura Mays
Vice President of Operations

Originally from Bloomington, Laura Mays came to MBSA as an intern in 2004 where she was a part of the National League of Cities annual meeting team.  Since then, she has brought her calm, organized perspective to many of our projects, including the Indianapolis Prize, Indy Homeless Connect, Indiana Humanities Council Leadership Summit, INHP Home Fair, and Sigma Nu National Convention.

Ashley Henson
Project Manager

Ashley Henson is the newest member of the MBSA team. After completing her internship at the company, she was recently hired to remain on board as a project manager. During her internship, Ashley worked with several projects including the National FFA Convention and St. Vincent Health’s Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital gala.
