For Super Bowl XLVI, the former Nordstrom department store located in Circle Centre was transformed into two floors of interactive activities aptly named The Huddle. In just three weeks, Maribeth Smith & Associates, Inc. transformed the space from a deserted department store into a 40,000 square foot Lids shopping experience, food court, beer garden, art lounge, post office outlet, lounge area, entertainment stage and after-hours night club. Located inside The Huddle, Huddle After Hours occupied the north end of the first floor and featured nightly video disc jockeys and celebrity DJs. The Huddle saw thousands of visitors daily for the ten days of Super Bowl celebration. The space was programmed with musical talent, Bob & Tom live broadcasts and WISH TV broadcasts – this added to the overall Village atmosphere. The Huddle was the place to be during the Super Bowl.
