Chairman and CEO Maribeth Smith began coordinating events for the City of Indianapolis in 1983 and formed her own company in 1991. Maribeth Smith &Associates, Inc. has coordinated more than 100 large-scale, multi-faceted special events including four NCAA Final Fours, 2008 Indianapolis Prize, 2009 National FFA Convention, American Association of Museums annual meeting, Professional Convention Management Association annual meeting, St. Vincent Foundation and Health events, National League of Cities annual meeting, Indy Jazz Fest, and Habitat for Humanity’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. Local not-for profit clients include Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, the Indianapolis Zoo, and Hoosier Oncology Group. Our corporate clients include Liberty Fund, Vectren, and American Honda.
MBSA has experience with program and budget development, strategic thinking, local organizing committee management, fundraising campaigns and sponsorship fulfillment, on-site event logistics, volunteer coordination and hospitality, event promotions, community awareness programs, and event and project branding.
Currently, Maribeth Smith & Associates, Inc. employs five event planners and one intern. With a wide array of special events on our resume, we offer professionalism and creativity, while maintaining the individuality and integrity of each event.
